"The Poster Child for
being uptight and judgemental.”
Julie, Bronwen, Aubree, Kanchan, Darryl, Ellen, Kimberly, Patricia, Fran // February 26, 2021
“This world has gone to pot. Not even a pun. Everywhere we turn, we see it displayed, in movies, being promoted being normalized. My heart is heavy. It has become that anyone who opposes it becomes the poster child for being uptight and judgemental.” - Fran
In the 1920’s, ”Suffragette" was a derogatory term for women and their supporters who dared raise their voices in support for a fundamental human right.
Though I haven’t seen it articulated, yet, I would think that the “Right to Health” is fundamental also. That is: The People should never be victimized by fraudulent claims of an industry that summarily ignores the data of major health concerns like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Surgeon General, the legitimate research data contained in the National Institutes of Health, Medical Library, American Heart Association, American Medical Center, just for starters.
“I have a 15, a 13, and a 9-year old, and I absolutely as a physician, as a dad, as the Surgeon General of the United States, wouldn’t want them exposed to these products (marijuana), and wouldn’t want them to falsely believe they’re safe.” - Dr. Jerome Adams, U.S. Surgeon General
NORML has it’s own “Medical Library” which is nothing but assumptions, misinformation, and outright lies.
Marijuana Policy Project and others use this misinformation to justify their statements that marijuana is harmless. It’s a lie based upon a lie.
The fact that this false data is being delivered in testimony, seems to be a type of perjury.
One document screams out in bold letters “Your government is lying to you, AGAIN.” It’s an example of how they brainwash people into not trusting genuine research.
Another document list 24 applications for medical marijuana. The FDA has approved only 4 marijuana-based drugs, for 3 specific purposes.
NORML criticizes the FDA for not doing enough testing, but that’s not the FDA’s job. The FDA spells this out clearly, and what the processes is for getting medications approved.
The FDA’s job is to not approve drugs until they’ve been clearly proven to be effective and safe by the manufacturers. That’s why our nation was spared much of the 1960s Thalidomide tragedy that impacted so many other countries. Just like now, the FDA was pressured by an industry that valued profit above health.
This is just a sample of the of how the Marijuana Industry is deceiving America.
Personally, I feel this is criminal. The dangers are obvious and have been widely published.
My feelings are that as knowledge of this deception spreads, we’ll see more citizen and politician requests for transparency. Careers will be ruined. There might be jail time.
That is why the Marijuana Industry is so desperate to denigrate and silence us.
I feel that the forthcoming book “Smokescreen: What the Marijuana Industry Doesn't Want You to Know,” by former White House drug advisor Kevin Sebat, is going to be a major thrust in that direction.
At the most basic level this is a battle between Good and Evil, and as bleak as it sometimes seems, we represent Good.
We will prevail.
