So Much Hate
There's this incredibly patronizing video on the "progressive" Facebook page, CREDO Mobile - President Obama crushes the Republicans for creating Trump.
The irony here is that this shows exactly why Trump was elected.
In the typical Democrat / liberal / progressive manner, Obama is blaming Republicans for the crime of being Republican, while completely ignoring all the hate that Democrats / liberals /progressives have heaped upon conservatives for decades.
Another irony is, that from the beginning of his campaign, many Trump supporters have said that this was the very reason they wanted someone like Trump, someone who wasn’t afraid to stick his middle finger up into the faces of liberals everywhere.
But Obama, just like many Democrats / liberals / progressives, still doesn’t get it. That’s because the underlying attitude of Democrats / liberals / progressives is that they can do no wrong.
To them, Republicans are expected to just stand there and “take it,” so out of touch are they with human nature. They continually forget one of the traits that’s separates conservatives from others, and that is a fierce independent streak.
If blame were to suddenly disappear from the Earth, the Democrat Party would cease to exist.
It is hate that gives Democrats life: to despise, to denigrate, to feel superior and sanctimonious, to label those of differing opinions as being morons and stupid dip-shits. It unites. It gives purpose.
It is antithesis of tolerance, of what being a progressive truly is, the irony here being that these persons who consider themselves to be so intellectually superior, are completely unaware of their hypocrisy.
Obama talks about things, “no decent person”would do, while ignoring the fact that his predecessor, Bill Clinton, not only got a blow job from a White House intern, but then lied about it on national television. I remember seeing him surrounded by all those Democrat U.S. Congressmen and Senators, all smiling and nodding in support, as Clinton lied to the nation.
He talks about “leadership,” but when it came to taking a definitive stance to block Russia’s aggression in the Ukraine, or to prevent the horror we now see in Syria, which also involves Russia, Obama failed miserably.
He talks about “bile” and “exaggeration,” as if it’s solely a problem with the right-wing.
And that there is the fundamental flaw with all, who just like Obama, are spreading ignorance.
They can only see one side of the equation, the enemy, and are completely blind to the offenses of their side.
I’m not sure if this has something to do with psychological defense mechanisms like denial and projection, which prevents us from seeing our own dark nature, or if it’s something like a cognitive bias, a fundamental flaw in reasoning.
