While not an "expert", I know plenty about about cannabis research and the overt dangers it's revealed.
With regard to long-term experiments: I became addicted in my early 20s and suffered a marijuana-induced psychosis after turning 25. This was 1972 and 50 years later, I still suffer from a major depressive disorder. I see a psychiatrist and take three antidepressants, two of them at the maximum daily dose. I also belong to four national groups that work to educate people, especially parents, about marijuana's overt dangers: There are other groups as well. Smart Approaches to Marijuana is the most politically active, run by Kevin Sabat who served as White House drug policy advisor under president’s Clinton, Bush, and Obama. The other three, MomsStrong, Parents Opposed to Pot, and Johnny’s Ambassadors, is populated by parents and people who have seen their loved ones suffer and even die because of marijuana. In addition, In 2015 I began my "Marijuana-Links-Page," an ongoing project that now has over 170 research, study, and news articles, that clearly demonstrate those dangers I have them grouped into 10 categories, the first being “Kids & Children,” since they are the most innocent victims. On the upper right is a slide show showing victims, accidents, perpetrators, and related times. In both 2017 and earlier this year, I testified before Maryland legislators, as part of a team opposed to recreational legalization. The bill was defeated both years. Below is a link to my 40-page written testimony from 2011. I’m currently researching the contents of NORML’s “Marijuana Research Library.” A few of my early findings with regarding to misinformation and assumptions are in my written testimony. The marijuana lobby uses this misinformation to justify that marijuana is “harmless.” I can't keep up with all the information about the risks that are out there. - https://georgespicka.weebly.com/marijuana-links.html |
