What Are Progressives So Afraid Of?
Both Paul and Mark consider themselves to be “Progressives.” They berate Republicans as being paranoid, stupid, morons, and bigots. However when they are put to the task, like bully’s everywhere, they runaway and hide. I wanted to send this to Paul, but apparently I’ve been blocked. This is not the fist time I’ve seen this.

Hi Paul – I saw the PBS show “Humanity From Space” the other day.
About 1hr / 15 min into the program began the segment, “The Population Clock.”
About 4 minutes later came the following statement, “As scientists, we know our climate changes naturally. We’ve always known that.”
Judging by Mark’s comments, it would be safe to say that he doesn’t know that. He can be excused for his ignorance though, because he’s not a scientist, though apparently he thinks he is.
I wonder though, what’s his excuse for calling Republicans “dipshits” who are essentially slaves of the energy interests? He doesn’t realize that’s roughly 150 million people, about ½ of the nations population. That’s a lot of people to hate.
“Humanity From Space” doesn’t say a thing about Republicans. In fact, what it does say is that mankind’s effect on climate is due to the technological success of our species, and that technology is continuing to accelerate.
Mark doesn’t seem to know this either.
In fact, “Humanity From Space” cites the three greatest threats to our future as being the lack of food, the lack of fresh water, and the lack of power, all due to runaway population growth.
In all my years of observing politics, I’ve yet to see sites or people that denigrate Republicans as a matter of habit, say anything about the looming threats of runaway population, famine, or the lack of water.
That’s the trouble with scapegoats. It diverts attention away from the real problems.
