"Out Of Step"
I wrote the following in response to a message I received yesterday, after I posted the news item about the demonstrations in France, that conservatives are “out-of-step.”
As far as homosexual relations, I’ve always felt that what consenting adults do in private is their own business, the operative words being “consenting” and “adult.”
I not convinced though, of the homosexual “right” to marriage. What’s more important, is the charge that France’s socialist government is forcing its own will on the country.

Here in Maryland, we see an example showing that Democrats are equal to Republicans in being deceitful: "out-of-step." The fact that the “Party of Tolerance” likes to think of itself as being somehow intellectually and morally superior to those of contrary opinions, points to an overt double standard.
It’s not that there aren’t any issues with conservative thought, such as seriously addressing the monetary imbalance in this nation, as Teddy Roosevelt would have done, but this double-standard, combined with the inability to recognize and acknowledge it, is why we see these Anthony Brown-(D) attack ads against his opponent, Larry Hogan-(D).
Personally, I can’t stand attack ads to begin with, no matter who the source. I’d rather hear of accomplishments and how they’d be expanded, if elected, then this relentless bashing that’s going on. It’s adolescent and doesn’t speak well of the character of persons who utilize it.
Several weeks ago, Hogan held a press conference where he called Brown a liar, and addressed specific deceptions in Democratic Party attack ads. Link below.
Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd had this to say about the situation, "The fact of the matter is you watch the candidates act. Brown is acting like a candidate who can't put Hogan away, and in a blue state like Maryland, that tells you Brown is struggling.”
I was a Democrat for 35 years. It is because of this rise of deceit and hostility that I left, all based on personal experience. This is not the Democrat party of, “Peace, harmony, and understanding,” that I knew in the 1960’s. It’s not that conservatives are any better, but at least they’re honest in their dishonesty.
