I came across this discussion the other day on Facebook - 2016/10/4. It typifies the naive ignorance about marijuana's dangers.
Virgie Mestas I sure hope you will be covering the positive effects that medical Marijuana has as well. Being properly informed from all sides is important. Why is there no education on the negative impact of alcohol on our youth? Alcohol claims lives daily, where medical canabis saves lives.

Other Side of Cannabis: Negative Effects of Marijuana on Our Youth There is lots of education on alcohol and never a word about the negative impacts of cannabis on the developing brain. We are educating on these impacts. Critical to our youth. Never ok for a healthy adolescent, teen or young adult up to age 30 to use today's marijuana. Period. Neuroscientifically proven.

Virgie Mestas I guess we can agree to disagree, I work with many children and adults with disabilities that are now using cannabinoids to improve their health. So I still stand firm on the fact that medical marijuana has a lot of positive effects but I definitely support their being a limitation of its availability to our youth. Many parents today are using medical Marijuana for diseases affecting children , I just believe individuals need to know all sides of its uses.

Virgie Mestas Again, all of us are entitled to our own opinions, I've done my research. I've suffered from fibromyalgia for over 15 years, I started using cannabinoids to reduce my pain and it helps. I just know that when used properly canabis is an amazing medicine. I agree that our youth doesn't need another substance to abuse, but if taught and educated properly , maybe individuals will make the right decusions. I believe in educating and empowering everybody but you need to provide information from both sides.

The greatest tragedy is what marijuana is doing to innocent youth, but in addition, there is all types of published research by organizations like the American Heart Association, American Lung Association, Center for Disease Control, and the National Institutes of Health: along with publications like the American Journal of Psychiatry, Journal of the American Medical Association, the Lancet, Biological Psychiatry, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and the Journal of Leukocyte Biology, to name a few - about the negative effects of marijuana.
Then there are the incidents where people have killed themselves or others after getting high on pot candy.
There’s the rise in incidents of kids having to be hospitalized after eating pot candy.

“I believe in educating and empowering everybody but you need to provide information from both sides.”
And now you know.

Other Side of Cannabis: Negative Effects of Marijuana on Our Youth Virgie Mestas there's loads of information on one side and nothing on the side effects. It is completly non existent. If it works for you and you understand the risks you take by using, and you are over 30, then that may be a good choice for you.
