Red flags should go up whenever one sees a claim on the Internet, promising to expose “myths,” or reveal “truths.”
Typically, they are based on political agendas, and filled with omissions and half-truths that reveal the bias and the lack of objectivity of the person responsible for them.
A good tip-off is the type of language used. Sites that are objective report information as factually as possible. They don’t intellectualize. There is no denigration of others, because the information presented stands on its own merit.
With a little effort, research, and common sense, one can easily learn to recognize these biased arguments for what they are.
